Brain Computer Interface
This is one of the latest technologies in stroke rehab and The Neuro Hub is proud to be the first commercial user of the Ipsihand by Neurolutions.

The IpsiHand™ Upper Extremity Rehabilitation System by Neurolutions is a FDA-cleared, non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) device now offered at The Neuro Hub to support individuals with chronic stroke-related upper-extremity weakness. IpsiHand helps retrain the brain to improve arm and hand movement by translating motor intention signals from the injured or uninjured side of the brain into purposeful movement of the affected hand and wrist.

How It Works
IpsiHand uses an EEG-based headset that detects electrical signals associated with your intention to move. These signals are transmitted to a wireless handpiece that assists in opening and closing your hand, reinforcing neural pathways and promoting neuroplasticity through repetitive, intentional movement. A guided tablet interface provides real-time feedback and tracks progress throughout your daily therapy sessions.

Key Benefits
• Non-invasive, at-home therapy you can use independently.
• Harnesses brain-computer interface technology to reconnect brain signals with movement.
• Facilitates muscle re-education and improved range of motion after stroke.
• Encourages sustained functional gains that carry into everyday tasks like grasping and self-care.
• Clinical studies show improvements in upper-extremity motor scores even in chronic stroke survivors.

Why It Matters
Stroke often disrupts the brain’s ability to communicate with muscles, leaving individuals with persistent weakness or limited hand function. IpsiHand’s BCI-driven approach engages the brain’s intact motor networks to promote meaningful recovery when traditional therapy alone may have plateaued.

Research and Innovation
IpsiHand is backed by ongoing research exploring how brain-computer interface therapy can reorganize motor networks and support long-term motor recovery in stroke survivors. Early evidence from clinical trials demonstrates meaningful improvements in both distal and proximal arm function, and continued studies are helping refine its application and maximize outcomes.
Who It’s For
IpsiHand is indicated for adults ≥ 6 months post-stroke with upper-extremity motor impairment and is prescribed by a clinician as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation plan.
Why Choose The Neuro Hub
At The Neuro Hub, IpsiHand is integrated into personalized, evidence-based therapy programs led by experienced clinicians. In addition to functional training, we provide targeted neuromuscular re-education and isolated muscle strengthening to reduce imbalance, enhance motor control, and optimize recovery outcomes for each individual.
